Sharon M. Walsh, MSW, LCSW
Sharon M. Walsh is a psychotherapist and consultant with 30 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Jersey, and holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Rutgers University. Mrs. Walsh is a member of the National Association of Social Work and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She is Certified by the Red Cross as a Disaster Mental Health Worker and holds a certificate in Crisis and Disaster Response.
Mrs. Walsh specializes in treating ADHD, general behavioral issues, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), relationship issues, overcoming grief, working through divorce, coping with trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family conflict, parenting issues, self esteem challenges, mood disorders, personality disorders, women’s issues, coping with cancer, and even offers life coaching. She has successfully utilized treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), coaching, family/marital treatment approaches, family systems therapy, play therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, depending on individual needs. She has worked in a variety of settings (Medical Hospitals, State Mental Health Hospitals/Institutions, Childrens’ Hospitals, Teenage/Adolescent Group Homes for troubled youths, and Geriatric Facilities) with clients of all ages.
In addition to clinical experience, Sharon Walsh has held offices on Home and School Boards, has taught classes in the community on parenting and on Loss and Grief, and has held various volunteer positions. Mrs. Walsh maintains a private practice for individuals and families in Boonton Township, New Jersey.
